In 2005 there were no playgrounds in Braddock. Thanks to volunteers, the Heritage Community Initiative, KaBoom, and some other benefactors there's now a very nice one along Braddock Ave near the library. At the back of the playground, this mural decorates the retaining wall.
According to the mayor the mural was done by kids from the Braddock Youth Organization. They came up with the idea and did this themselves. Another optimistic message encouraging the kids to persevere.
