This retro–looking mural takes up the entire side of a parking garage in the city, and that made the transportation theme a natural for it. In an article in the Post Gazette by Rich Lord, Brian Holderman explains that he wants the mural to capture the way Pittsburghers past viewed the future, and to blend in aspects of the present. He goes on to say that There's sidewalks zig–zagging everywhere throughout the piece. That’s kind of an homage to the oldest form of transportation, which is your feet.
