Maya Hayuk came to Braddock as part of Swoon’s Points of Interest program. She says her artwork has been influenced by her Ukrainian background and in an ETSY.TV video she describes her outdoor work as a collaborative environmental work, where I’m working with an environment to enhance it, or further it, or jam with it or have fun with it.
She goes on to say that her public art is meant to provide a revitalization of spirit
and that what makes a public art piece different is how it becomes part of the lives of the people that live with it.
We found conflicting information on a title for this mural, so we can't say the title we've supplied is definitely the correct one.
