The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust had this mural done on the back side of the Byham Theater, facing Fort Duquesne Blvd. Richard Haas designed the Trompe l’oeil mural to fit in perfectly with the theater district. It depicts a stage set for a play about Pittsburgh and the steel industry.
It's a very large mural at 36x56 feet. In the winter you can view it from across the Allegheny River, but the trees in the center of Ft Duquesne Blvd obstruct the view at other times.
